HELLO

I’m Iona Singleton

At the heart of my practice is a commitment to meeting each person anew.

Therapy can so easily become another place where we are explained, categorised, or understood through what has happened to us. I am interested in creating something a little different, a space where we can soften the edges of what we think we know and become curious about what is here now.

My way of working is warm, relational, and deeply attentive to the body. I listen not only to the words you bring, but to the pauses between them, to sensation and feeling, to the ways you have learned to protect yourself, and to the parts of you that may not yet have found language.

I don’t believe there is one right way to be in therapy, just as I don’t believe there is one right way to be a human. Rather than arriving with answers, I hope to meet you with curiosity, listening closely enough that something new might be heard.

Our work might move between conversation and silence, reflection and embodied exploration, the stories that have shaped you and the life that is unfolding now. There is room for complexity, contradiction, uncertainty, humour, grief, and for the questions that do not have easy answers.

Above all, I hope this can be a place where you don’t have to arrive as anyone other than who you are.

Somatic Tools for Crisis Response

With Domestic Shelters · Webinar

Trauma does not end the moment someone reaches safety. For survivors it continues to surface, in courtrooms, shelters, medical appointments, and is too often misread as instability. This session explores body-based tools for crisis response and trauma-informed care.
